    Pres. Preval & Chavez
Thank you for your charitable contributions to Haiti, Comandante Chavez, the homage, tribute that you have paid to this great land... you have been a voice for the voiceless. The world will miss you. Your ideas, however, will flourish. R.I.PPresident Hugo Chavez died today at 4: 25 pm, Venezuelan time.

I can remember that day like yesterday , I was going to be
11 years on November 29 and I in "6eme" au Lycée Antenor
Firmin.Believe it or not we were brought next to the cemetery
by the order of Papa Doc to witness that carnage. It was that day
    I became an anti-Duvalierist.

My mother just told me that she too remembers this day.  She said they went to get her and other co-workers while  working at la commune.  She remembers the 4 young men awaiting their horrible fate as those who were brought to witness were expected to watch and not show compassion and sorrow otherwise they too would pay the price.
My goodness.... She further shared, one of the mens' mother died eventually of sadness.

      "Papa Doc"
a provocative new work on Francois Duvalier, the ruthless dictator of Haiti who killed those who dared to speak out against him, especially artists.

Richard Wesley has taken his impressions of this contradictory man from the writings of Edwidge Danticat's book, "Create Dangerously", and set them in place as a brilliant libretto.  Ms. Danticat speaks of Duvalier as a man who would reveal the hanging of his own people to the children of his land, in order for them to remember what the consequences were for any person who would differ with him.

The opera, being written by internationally acclaimed composer Dorothy Rudd Moore, will focus on a particular public hanging....done to set an example for the world to remember, while burned in the minds of almost every mature Haitian living today.  The work will be conducted by Julius Williams, TAOC\u2019s resident conductor and Professor of Composition and Conducting at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, and directed by Mark Clayton Southers, Artistic Director of Theater Initiatives, August Wilson Center for African American Culture, Pittsburgh PA.
Papa Doc will premier on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 7 pm at the Science Theater, 260 Norfolk Street, Newark, NJ.
      Informance @ 6:30pm
Orange Ball following performance.  Wear your Orange!!!

Trilogy: An Opera Company, which focuses on the works of African American composers written on subject matter reflective of the experience of people of African descent.  For more information visit or email or call 973-985-5881

Proud and humble to be HAITIAN!!!! The name "FELICITE" rings of joy, bravery and is a testament of dignity and generosity. "An angel of mercy in a time of pestilence." I salute you my SISTER, Ms. FELICITE. I must also thank Pikliz for its unwavering commitment in presenting these historical facts that crisscross this beautiful land of ours, the Pearl of the Antilles..

    Cumbre @ Venezuela

Viva Venezuela!!!! Viva Haiti!

    Mme. Max Adolphe (Rosalie Bosquet)
A true monster. She personally killed thousands of people at Fort Dimanche while there as the Warden. After that, she was promoted as the supreme leader of the tonton Macoute, who only purpose was to kill innocent people.

She was famous for torturing her victims for hours and enjoying every bit of it. She once inserted a hot-sharp object inside her husband's mistress genital.

She left Haiti disguised as a nun. She is one of the most evil woman to have walked the face of the earth.

Sorry to say, but that's just wishful thinking since you can NOT prove it. She may very well have gotten away with mass murder and that's it.

Don't wait for God's justice. It's not guaranteed.

Don't sit back and let the Makouts come back through Michel Martelly and hope "God'sJustice will prevail".

        Save Haiti for tomorrow: !

    Haitian Flag
Many decades ago I stood as an innocent, raw scholar, listening to the eloquent Pere Claude requesting a moment of silence of all the students of "Petit Seminaire College Saint Martial." The greatest Civil Rights Leader of the 20th Century had been assassinated in Memphis while negotiating the Rights of the Sanitary Workers to earn better wages. The Reverend Martin Luther King, instantly, became my brother for the cause of JUSTICE. The echo of his voice still profoundly resonates with me. It was 44 years ago today. Good morning, Haiti!Respect!!!!!
