Les Frères Barbot, L>R, Harry & Clément
The year was 1963, Barbot plan was to to hold Jn.Claude and Simonne Duvalier students at College Bird hostage until Francois Duvalier leaves office. Barbot was recognized by "Rodrigue" the V.S.N. in charge of the presidential "kids" security. But Duvalier never accused Barbot for the act but decided it came from the " Fran Tirreurs" of the F.A.D.H. In order to cleanse the F.A.D.H. put the blame on the winners who came back from their victory of the U.S.M.C. tournement in Panama as Champions of America.
The Victims were: Francois Benoit's And Claude Edlines's Family, Guy Marcel, Max Parris and others that unfortunattly do not remeber their names.A very sad day in our history, would of been worst if Barbot had succeded. Untold number of student would off died if Duvaliers's kids were kidnapped. Was a presidential order everyones child will have to pay for mines.

Jn Claude Duvalier & quelques macoutes
the white guy is Jean Koury . He has a lebanese origin. Very nice guy and lot a success with girls. He use to drive a wonderfull and fast Harley-Davidson motocycle. This playboy inspired Neumours Jean-Baptiste,founder of Compas Direct, haitan dance music. The song "Kouri Ti Carole rinmim ou"means Kouri Lit'l Carole loves you.

Koury, Very Nice Guy??? You do not know him. I knew him, since I used to live right by his house in Cite manigat, in Martissant, a quarter mile from Nemours Jean-Baptiste's house. And guess what? I happened to be there also in the middle of that walking band "LOBODIA" in the early 70's when Koury in Rue Magloire Amboise pulled out his 45 and shot this dude dead without hesitation because of banal altercation between the two. There was a real outcry for his head. And since he was JC-Duvalier's pal, nothing happened to him.

PEUT-ON IDENTIFIER LES OFFICIERS QUI ONT ACCOMPAGNE LE PRESIDENT? SONT-ILS LES MEMES QUE CEUX QUI ONT PROCEDE A SON ARRESTATION? QUE SONT ILS DEVENUS SOUS DUVALIER? EST CE VRAI QUE LE PRESIDENT FIGNOLE A TOUCHE SA PENSION PENDANT SON EXIL?

Marcel Numa and Louis Drouin (12 Nov 1964)
this is one of the many dark moments in our history. There should be a shrine in paup for the memories of these heroes and their families

"Had it been given a fair chance at the beginning, perhaps, Haiti would have flourished and prospered." Danticat

The Haitian people must continue to live with hope...

Marcel Numa and Louis Drouin were revolutionaries who chose to die on their feet instead of living on their knees. They die for a better Haiti. Or did they???
January 12th, Cholera with roots from South Asia and now the visit of Palin!!!!!!
All of us, Haitians, must ask ourselves, what Mr. Numa and Mr. Drouin would have said today about Haiti, had they been alive.
Our sister, Ms. Danticat, the author of her most recent work "Create Dangerously" dedicated a chapter to these two warriors. I commend her on her pithy and compelling style and her revered position toward Numa and Drouin.
To my country, Haiti, a better future because it truly deserves it.

Marcel Numa & Louis Drouin before their killing (12 Nov 1964)
