Discription: History was not made in a day, but rather over a period of 8 years. Thecommemoration of June as Caribbean American Heritage Month will one day in the far future be a legend. Today, the story of how the Caribbean American community earned recognition of their contributions to America is told by this simple tale.
The Consuls-General of Caricom in Miami with the collaboration of the Institute of Caribbean studies have organized at the Ritz-Carlton,Coconut Grove a reception to commemorate the observance of the first Caribbean-American Heritage Month.The month of June has been officially declared : " Caribbean-American Heritage Month "
