As announced, we are pleased to present: NU-SHAH.
By the time we made it to "Feather's" Ballroom in Broward County, Florida it was already 10:30 pm and the temperature about 39 F and falling, which really complicated the event. In south Florida anything below 55 F is considered unacceptable. People have a tendency to stay indoors. Nevertheless the presentation had already begun.
We proceeded and were greeted by a well polished and well versed musicians. They are all introduced in the photo album.
The three known veterans Ti Craan, Loubert and Zouzoule did a superb job by grouping these individuals. By the way, I forgot to mention André Dejean shining as usual in the horn section (Trumpet). Horn section was superbly maintained by Loubert and cohorts.
We were all impressed by the degree of sophistication of the repertoire and knowledge and skills of the new musicians (America, Cafe, Ti Machande, Synthèse Musical etc....) in short, the hardcore Skah-Shah tunes untouched by other musical bands were brilliantly executed by NU-SHAH..
Lead guitar by Rickcene Ulysse was fine. Some lines need to be revisited. The bass was great. The congas occupied by a woman named Myriam Lucien was impeccable. The drums well maintained by "YEUX", he needed more practice but good. One import from Martinique "Patrick Parole" did perform well . Need more presence on stage.
This is in short a review of the evening. In a scale of 1 to 10, I'll give a 7. Good for a debut.
Returning home the temperature was at 25 F.
